 Visual Identity & Game Art

A Seamless Artistic Experience Across All Touchpoints

Lost Ember is an award-winning exploration adventure that immerses players in a breathtaking world. With the ability to inhabit different animals, players uncover the story of a fallen civilization from unique perspectives.

Beyond the in-game visuals, Lost Ember required a cohesive and immersive visual identity that extended to branding, UI, website, and merchandise. Expertise was provided in art direction, environment design, and the creative execution of the game's visual world. Every design element was carefully crafted to complement the game's atmosphere, ensuring a consistent and engaging experience.

Contributions to Lost Ember

Visual Concept & Art Direction

From the beginning, we worked on defining and executing the artistic vision of the game.

Our focus was on creating a distinct, stylized aesthetic that conveys both emotional depth and an inviting game world.

Environment Design &
World Building

One of our main challenges was to craft a world that tells its story visually.

Through carefully planned colors, lighting, and composition, we ensured that every environment evokes emotions and guides players naturally through exploration.

Character & Creature Design

The ability to transform into different animals is central to Lost Ember.

We contributed to creature designs and animations, ensuring that each species has a unique movement style and personality that enhances the gameplay experience.

IP, Logo, UI/UX & Website Design

UI/UX

Beyond branding, the user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) design were developed to seamlessly integrate into the game world. The UI was crafted to be intuitive and non-intrusive, ensuring a smooth exploration experience while maintaining aesthetic consistency and functional clarity. Every element was carefully designed to enhance immersion without disrupting the player's connection to the story and environment.

IP, Logo

A distinctive visual identity was created to represent Lost Ember’s unique storytelling and world.

The logo design, typography, and color scheme were carefully chosen to reflect the game’s emotional depth, mystery, and immersive atmosphere.

Example: Different concepts were designed for the main menu to create a calm and intimate atmosphere, setting the emotional tone for the journey ahead.

Website

To extend Lost Ember’s presence beyond the game itself, a visually engaging and user-friendly website was designed and developed. The site serves as both an information hub and a marketing tool, effectively showcasing the game’s world, story, and features while attracting new players and building engagement.

Merchandise & Collectibles

We extended Lost Ember’s artistic vision into high-quality, beautifully designed merchandise, including:

Artbook – Showcasing concept art, behind-the-scenes insights, and development sketches
T-Shirts & Apparel – Unique, stylish designs that resonate with the game’s themes
Posters & Prints – High-resolution art prints that bring the world of Lost Ember into real life
Pins & Collectibles – Custom enamel pins featuring game symbols and characters
CD & Vinyl Soundtrack Design – Elegant packaging and cover design for the game’s stunning soundtrack

Every piece of merchandise was carefully designed to maintain the game’s artistic integrity, ensuring that fans receive products that truly represent the world of Lost Ember.

Trailer Concept & AnimaTed Storybaord

To ensure an impactful first impression, a cinematic trailer concept was developed, including an animatic (animated storyboard) to define pacing, emotional beats, and visual flow.

Music selection and collaboration with renowned composers played a key role in reinforcing the trailer’s emotional depth and immersive quality. This included working with Will Morton, an award-winning sound designer and composer known for his work at Rockstar North on major titles like Grand Theft Auto, Red Dead Redemption, and LA Noire, as well as John Broomhall, Maisy Kay, and others. Through this, the trailer created a powerful connection with the audience, ensuring a lasting impression and strong engagement with the game.
